HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
This accredited training course will give you the skills and knowledge required to provide a First Aid response, life support, management of casualties / the incident and other first aiders, in a range of situations, including in the home, workplace or within the community, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.
Industry standard recommendation to maintain current competency is for this course to be refreshed every 3 years, with the CPR component to be refreshed annually.
Provide First Aid is an 8 hour course delivered face to face in 1 day.
HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
This CPR course will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain breathing and circulation in an adult, child or infant following cardiac arrest. Content is based on Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines.
This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. ​Industry standard recommendation to maintain current competency is for this course to be refreshed every 12 months.
Provide CPR is completed in 2 hours and 30 minutes, delivered face to face.
HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and
care setting
This accredited training course gives you the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants and children in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
The unit applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies. This course is also suitable for parents wanting child focused, comprehensive, first aid training.
​Industry standard recommendation to maintain current competency is for this course to be refreshed every 3 years, with the CPR component to be refreshed annually.​ Please contact us for next course dates.
Provide First Aid in an Education and Care setting is an 8 hour course delivered face to face in 1 day. Usually running from 8:30am to 4:30pm with a tea break and lunch break.
UETDRRF004 Perform rescue from a live LV panel with
HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
This CPR and Low Voltage Rescue Course will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to:

maintain breathing and circulation in an adult, child or infant following cardiac arrest.

perform a rescue procedures from live low voltage (LV) apparatus.

It is an industry standard requirement to act as a safety observer for energised electrical work, you must have been assessed in the previous 12 months as competent to rescue and resuscitate a person.

Please be advised that UETDRRF004 Perform rescue from a live LV panel was superseded by UETDRMP007 Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel in October 2022. ATC Work Smart will continue to train and assess the superseded unit of competency until the transition end date of 13 October 2025 (notification of extension on 11 October 2024).
The CPR/LVR Skill Set is delivered face to face in 4 hours and 30 minutes.
