With regular course dates available throughout the year, participants can complete their First Aid and CPR training at a convenient location in Bunbury, Albany or Mandurah.

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

ATC Work Smart delivers nationally recognised HLTAID011 Provide First Aid training in Bunbury, Albany and Mandurah.
 
This accredited course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to provide a First Aid response, life support, manage casualties and incidents, and support other first aiders in a range of situations, including the home, workplace and community, until medical assistance arrives.
 
The industry recommendation is to refresh this qualification every 3 years, with the CPR component refreshed annually to maintain current competency.

Course Duration

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is an 8-hour face-to-face course delivered in one day.

 

Study Mode

Training and assessment are completed entirely face-to-face. There is no pre-course online study and no additional work required after the session. Everything you need to complete the course is covered during the training day.

Participants must be a minimum of 14 years old.

 

Student Resources and Support

All learning resources and materials required for the course are supplied by ATC Work Smart.

Following enrolment, students will receive an electronic copy of the learner guide.

We are committed to supporting students to successfully complete their training. If you require additional assistance or have any concerns, please discuss this with your trainer/assessor.

It is a requirement of this course that at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted practical demonstration of CPR must be performed on an adult manikin on the floor.

HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

This CPR course will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain breathing and circulation in an adult, child or infant following cardiac arrest. Content is based on Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines.
 
This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. ​Industry standard recommendation to maintain current competency is for this course to be refreshed every 12 months.

Provide CPR is completed in 2 hours and 30 minutes, delivered face to face.

First Aid Childcare

HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting

This accredited training course gives you the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants and children in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

 

The unit applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies. This course is also suitable for parents wanting child focused, comprehensive, first aid training.

​Industry standard recommendation to maintain current competency is for this course to be refreshed every 3 years, with the CPR component to be refreshed annually.​ Please contact us for next course dates.

Provide First Aid in an Education and Care setting is an 8 hour course delivered face to face in 1 day. Usually running from 8:30am to 4:30pm with a tea break and lunch break.
