Workplace Mental Health
First Aid for Workplace Mental Health is essential for employees
A recent study showed that every year, 1 in 5 Australians will experience mental illness. That equates to millions of Aussies going to work whilst experiencing mental health problems.
The workplace has changed for organisations and people. In the last few years, we've seen a global pandemic, economic downturns, cost of living pressures, adaptation to different working conditions and a recruitment crisis. These changes have taken a toll on employees, and now, more than ever, they need mental health support in the workplace.
Employers who embrace improving mental health wellbeing in the workplace are rewarded with dramatic cost and effectiveness benefits, enjoying significant and sustainable enhancements in:
productivity, reduction in absenteeism, retention of staff, conflict reduction and improved operational success.
"Just as physical first aid is administered to an injured person before medical treatment can be obtained,
First Aid for Mental Health is given until appropriate treatment is found or until the crisis is resolved"
"The training really benefitted our team, we learnt about how we react to different stress factors in our workplace and different coping strategies, the training bought the team closer together, we all throughly enjoyed the day, I highly recommend managers attend the training with their team"
