White Card (WA)

CONSTRUCTION INDUCTION TRAINING

The WA White Card course is a mandatory requirement for anyone who wants to work in the construction industry. Our online program is designed to be straightforward and informative, allowing you to learn at your own pace. 

Here's what you need to know:

To complete the course, you'll need:

  • Access to the Internet​

  • A webcam or smartphone

  • A conversational level of English

  • Photo identification (driver's licence, passport, etc.)

  • Access to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Residency in Western Australia

Duration

2 - 6 hours (depending on prior knowledge)

PPE Required

Hard hat, high-vis clothing, eye and hearing protection

Cost

$65

Card issued by

WorkSafe Western Australia (must reside within WA)

You must reside within Western Australia to receive the White Card.

Student Support Services

We have identified a number of support services for students who have special needs, or require additional support and assistance to undertake or complete their learning. Please discuss any concerns you may have with your enrolment officer or trainer assessor.

Assessment Information

Upon enrolling, you will have access to the course for 90 days. Within this time, you must successfully complete:

  • Online learning module

  • Multiple-choice questions

  • Short written assessment (completing a basic form) Verbal assessment

  • Practical demonstration

Verbal assessment and practical demonstration conducted either in person at our Albany facility or via video call. Session duration: approximately 30 minutes.

  • Identify health and safety legislative requirements of construction work

  • Identify construction hazards and risk control measures

  • Recognise health and safety communication and reporting processes

  • Understand incident and emergency response procedures

Upon successful completion, you'll receive an official WorkSafe WA White Card and Statement of Attainment for the Nationally Recognised Unit of Competency:
CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
