How it works

ATC Work Smart takes the risk and administration out of employing an apprentice or trainee. As a Group Training Organisation (GTO), we are the legal employer and manage recruitment, payroll, HR, and training.

We also provide regular workplace visits and ongoing support to ensure everything stays on track.

Your Role as the Host Employer

You provide meaningful on-the-job training and a safe work environment, supervise day-to-day tasks, and approve a fortnightly timesheet. Where required, you’ll also release the apprentice or trainee to attend off-the-job training.

We coordinate AASN (Australian Apprenticeship Support Network) services for you, this gives you a single point of contact to make the whole process an easy experience.
We locate and liaise directly with the Registered Training Organisations (RTOs)
We manage the training and ensure your apprentice or trainee receives the highest quality training.

We are the legal employer and are responsible for all employment, payroll and training related requirements.
We have the capacity to rotate apprentices through several host employers benefiting small and medium sized businesses who may be unable to commit to the full period or full range of training required.

We monitor the placement to make sure everything goes smoothly, you also have a dedicated field officer for support and guidance, who will make regular visits to your workplace.
